Intensive Russian Assaults Eliminate Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with interruptions to water systems, according to city officials.

At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has increased attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, Europe and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and implementing sanctions," he wrote in a social media post.

He said that 450 drones and over thirty missiles struck energy facilities, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Area administrators said the city came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor was killed and several individuals were injured.

The assaults follow nights of air raids in the region, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were bracing for additional strikes.
